Welcome to the website for Coastal Bend Redbook Directory’s primary distribution area - the Coastal Bend of Texas. This is one of the unspoiled bayfront areas along the Texas Gulf Coast. Folks are kind and friendly and have a slow pace, yet a qualitfy of life that draws people here to the place we call home.

Our bays are full of trout, flounder, redfish and many other species, just waiting to be caught. Our south Texas temperatures allow for all kinds of outdoor activities well into November and December.

The communities in Aransas and San Patricio Counties have excellent schools, friendly churches and wonderful people. The shops and boutiques offer unique shopping opportunities and you’ll not find finer restaurants than here.

Rockport/Fulton is our home office location. This community boasts of golf, fishing, art galleries, museums, birding, some of the best outdoor concerts and festivals. The Rockport Beach Park has Texas’ only Consecutive Blue Wave Beach on the coast. It is over a mile of wide sandy white beach plus piers, pavilions, concessions, salt-water pool, children’s playgrounds, bird sanctuary and public boat ramp.

The whooping cranes, an endangered species, are taking residence during winter months in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. In addition to the whooping cranes, more than 500 species of birds and other wildlife can be found in this area.

Aransas Pass shares Aransas County and San Patricio County with its population of approximately 8,200 people has the true bay area feel with good harbors, boat landings and piers for commercial use and pleasure.  Coastal bay and gulf fishing are among the best in Texas in Aransas Pass. Residents and guests take advantage of the shallow bars to bag limits of duck and geese as well.

Bait and tackle shops are plentiful in Aransas Pass. Catching trout or sheepshead in the bays is a year round activity in the mild climate of South Texas. Crabbing, beach combing, wade fishing and bird watching are other activities to enjoy.
